Compare and Contrast New Inventions and Mad Libs

The older class learned many new words for walked today. They are to look up the definitions at home and bring the list back to class next week. The new words are:

shuffle, wobble, strutt, ramble, totter, amble, stagger, flounce, trudge, reel, saunter, shamble, mince, scuff, roam, rove, swagger, stroll, plod, range.

They have been told about dollarizing their words and replacing the word "walk" with one of these words is an example of dollarizing.

Today we also made some new inventions. They chose their favorite two and then we compared and contrasted them. We went over what is involved in a compare and contrast essay. The homework is to finish and type this essay.

The younger class shared their funny Mad Libs today. Then we played Disruptus, this class is extremely creative and came up with some amazing new inventions. The last round of the game was to combine all of the inventions to create a big machine that does something amazing. Ask your children what they created today.
