We are well into our heroic quests and everyone is doing a wonderful job. In chapter 3 the hero may need to face things alone and may have something really difficult happen to them. This is the chapter before the climax, so things should be getting exciting.
In class we continued to learn about dollarizing our words by eating Jelly Bellies. For every Jelly Belly we ate we had to use 5 words to describe the flavor; we couldn't repeat a word, so the more Jelly Bellies we ate the harder it got to think of new words.
We then read a poem called How To Eat a Poem by Eve Merriam. In this poem she taught us how to eat a poem, metaphorically that is. Then each student had to write a poem where they "ate" something non-edible. It was fun to see what they came up with.
