Most students dread learning the parts of speech, but when it is disguised as fun in the form of Mad Libs, it isn't so painful.
We had a basic lesson on the forms of speech, including: nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. We learned how Mad Libs are filled in and then we got busy working on three that I brought to class; then the students wrote their own. Homework is to type up these Mad Libs, as many as they want, bring them in and we will fill them in as a class next week.
