Dicey Poetry

We played with rhyming this week, with a twist. I brought in a large die and whatever number it landed on was how many words the students had to write for that line of the poem. Each poem was five lines long, but the length of each line was dictated by the die. There were a lot of laughs as they tried to be creative, while rhyming, and following the rules. Ask to see their poems, they came up with some cute stuff.
