Our novels are just about finished in the older writing class. Next week students will turn in their final chapter for me to go over. The following week their entire book is due (May 3) and we will have a party. They all want to bring in snacks and play writing games.
We ended up getting shipwrecked in the younger writing class today. Each student had the chance to get up and perform, without words, their story; thus an interpretive dance. The class tried to guess what the story was all about. I think most of the students enjoyed the chance to act out their harrowing tales of survival. There is no homework this week.
