In the older class we are starting chapter 4; this chapter needs to include the climax of their stories. The good news is they have two full weeks to write it. Today we talked about not putting our readers to sleep and getting over writer's block.
In the younger class we started Spy School, it takes a lot of work to become a top notch spy. We focused on decoding today and we learned three codes.
The homework is to write a friend a letter in code, make sure to include the key to the code.
When we come back to class in two weeks they need to bring a spy tool kit with them. They should work on it over the break and be as creative as possible. The toolkit can be a simple as a box of cereal filled with things they need to do their job as a spy.
