An assumption is when we accept something as true without proof. We learned that in order to make sure we are being objective, and not basing an idea on an assumption, we need to listen to what the other person is saying. Then we need to ask follow up questions until we understand the other person before we come to a conclusion.
We learned how to write a survival guide. The students were very creative in what they taught us to survive. Their homework is to type the guide they wrote in class and they may write as many survival guides this week as they would like. Each guide will earn a ticket as long as it has at least five steps for survival.
