Family Tree

This week we started our family history unit. We will be working on this all month, so please help your child with interviewing and doing some research online.
In class we painted a family tree that went back to our grandparents. This weeks homework is to interview both parents. If grandma is in town, please feel free to interview her as well.
I have given them twelve questions to ask, they can ask more if they would like to. The idea is to interview each parent individually, take notes while parent answers questions and then type up the answers to share in class.
The questions are as follows:

1. How did you get your name?

2. What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?

3. Did you enjoy elementary school?

4. What was you favorite meal as a kid?

5. Did you have a special place, like a tree fort or a hideaway? Tell me about it…

6. What were your birthdays like?

7. Where have you traveled?

8. What is your favorite vacation spot?

9. Tell me about your wedding day…

10. How did you decide on a career?

11. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

12. What are some treasured moments you have had with your children?
